Nestled on the outskirts of Bassano del Grappa, a picturesque town at the foot of the Alps, House NF designed by the Didonè Comacchio Architects, stands as a testament to architectural harmony with its natural surroundings.

This project offers a captivating view to the north, unveiling the entrance to the enchanting Valsugana, set against the backdrop of the western slope of Monte Grappa, a location recently recognized by UNESCO.

At the heart of the House NF project lies the vision of bringing the lush greenery of its surroundings into the very core of the building. This vision is realized through the incorporation of two courtyards in the basement structure. The first courtyard, elegantly situated at the entrance, serves a dual purpose. It acts as a visual filter, providing privacy from curious passersby, and as a picturesque frame for the exterior, opening up to the garden and olive grove area.

Amidst the verdant expanse of the green roof, a modest yet charming structure emerges—a small study space that gracefully spills onto a panoramic terrace. This space serves as a tranquil retreat, allowing residents to immerse themselves in the natural beauty that surrounds them.

When viewed from the street, House NF presents itself as a harmonious closed entity, with its privacy subtly shielded by a partition of wooden slats. This unique design choice creates a captivating "see-through" effect, bestowing the homeowners with just the right amount of seclusion while retaining a connection with the outside world. In stark contrast, the view towards the garden, nestled within the building's volumes, unfolds with grace, allowing the olive grove to become an integral part of the interior living spaces.

The concept of nature as an ever-present muse extends throughout the interior of the house. The olive grove becomes a living art piece, its presence seamlessly incorporated into the daily life of the occupants. This mindful integration of the external landscape into the interior design fosters a sense of tranquility, inviting a deep connection with the environment.
