Crafted by the ingenious Giles Miller Studio, the 'Perspectives' pavilion emerges amidst the captivating landscape of the Surrey Hills at Winterfold.

Seamlessly blending with the natural splendor of its surroundings, this mesmerizing structure, commissioned by Surrey Hills Arts and the Mittal Foundation, offers a serene haven along the scenic route in Surrey, south of London.

Drawing inspiration from heartfelt expressions etched on trees, benches, and public spaces, Giles Miller and his studio weave a captivating narrative of poetry, love, initials, and cherished memories contributed by local schools, residents, and kindred spirits. Each of these heartfelt messages finds a meaningful place on the pavilion's organic cedar shingles, as if they yearn to share their sentiments with the world below.

At its core, the pavilion envelopes visitors with a sense of security and protection, featuring carefully arranged overlapping shingles that shield occupants from the elements. The gentle caress of the wind over these wooden shingles imbues the structure with an inviting ambiance, encouraging visitors to find solace within the warm embrace of 'Perspectives.'

As one approaches the entrance, a breathtaking transformation unfolds. The shingles gracefully flatten, unveiling an evocative spectacle that celebrates liberation and flight. In a harmonious dance, the pavilion releases the imprinted emotions into the awaiting valley, setting free the dreams and aspirations encapsulated within. Beyond its architectural brilliance, 'Perspectives' embodies a profound connection between humanity and nature, where Giles Miller Studio's design becomes a conduit for emotional expression.
