Designed by the multifaceted Basel-based designer and architect Raphael Kadid, ISU (Interlink Storage Unit) is a minimalist modular system that redefines versatility and durability in contemporary design.

Inspired by the iconic Eames Storage Unit (ESU), ISU stands as a testament to ingenious engineering and aesthetic elegance. At its core, the system is built around a pioneering bi-directional connector and sleek 20mm raw aluminum profiles. These elements interlock to hold the structure together in both vertical and horizontal orientations without the need for pre-assembly machining, showcasing an innovative approach to modular construction.

ISU's design allows for an extensive array of configurations, effortlessly transforming from a sophisticated shelving unit to a practical coat rack, a functional ladder, or even a stylish chair. Crafted exclusively from aluminum and stainless steel screws, this system is engineered to endure the rigors of any environment, guaranteeing longevity whether placed indoors or in the most demanding outdoor settings.

Raphael Kadid is not only celebrated for his architectural prowess but also for his creative contributions to design and photography, notably through his Daily Dose archives. His exploration in minimal solutions further cements his status as a contemporary visionary, blurring the lines between industrial functionality and refined artistry. With a keen eye on neo-futurism and primitive architecture, Kadid's designs are a harmonious blend of balance, composition, and innovative use of metal forms, redefining the essence of modern household objects.
