PINKDOM by Knit Pigment unfolds a visionary project that transcends mere aesthetics, delving deep into the kaleidoscopic world of pink - a color as enigmatic as it is ubiquitous in our cultural tapestry.

At the core of PINKDOM lies a quest: a journey to unravel and redefine pink's myriad shades. The color pink, often ensconced in a cocoon of sweetness and tenderness, unravels in this exhibition to reveal its complex spectrum. From the vivacious blushes to the subtle whispers of pastel, each shade of pink harbors a universe of emotions and cultural resonances.

The artists, Sho Ota, Pyeori Jung, and Sangmin Oh, serve as the narrators of this chromatic odyssey. They bring to the fore their intimate relationship with pink, weaving their personal stories and artistic sensibilities into a tapestry of hues. Each artist’s approach is a dialogue, an exploration of how pink resonates within the layers of society and the environment.

In PINKDOM, pink is not just a color; it's a narrative. It's about the emotional landscapes it evokes, the cultural dialogues it initiates, and the psychological comfort it provides. The exhibition encourages artists to venture beyond the known spectrum of pink, to create a shade that's uniquely their own. This endeavor is not just about adding a new color to the palette but about enriching the journey of artistic expression.

The artists' distinctive methods and their interaction with materials provide a window into their creative worlds. Sho Ota’s experience with wood, Pyeori Jung’s balance in aluminum, and Sangmin Oh’s focus on textiles and empty spaces, collectively narrate a story that goes beyond the conventional. Their works are not just objects of beauty but are vessels carrying stories of introspection, innovation, and imagination.

As the exhibition continues at Rauch off space until 8th December, it invites visitors to embark on a journey through the kingdom of pink. A kingdom where each shade tells a story, each texture a memory, and each tone a dream. In PINKDOM, the narrative of pink is continuously rewritten, inviting us all to see the world through a different hue.

Knit Pigment was established by two creatives: Sangmin Oh and Ae Offices.
