Missoni Home Boutique (Showroom) by Lit Studio
Hitoshi Arato
Jul 3, 2025

Nestled in Milan's vibrant Via Solferino, the Missoni Home Boutique, meticulously crafted by Lit Studio, artfully embodies a sophisticated dialogue between historical charm and contemporary refinement.

Housed in a building rich with Art Nouveau flourishes, the interior carefully preserves the essence of its heritage—from iron and brick vaulted ceilings to ornate column details—while boldly asserting its modern identity through clean lines and subtle textures.

Lit Studio’s distinctive approach is epitomized by a seamless integration of original architecture and sleek, satin-finished metal surfaces, creating a harmonious tension between the past and present. The boutique serves as an understated canvas, specifically designed to amplify Missoni’s vibrant weaves and iconic color palette. The thoughtfully minimalistic space allows the textiles to shine prominently, drawing visitors into an immersive interplay of texture, pattern, and hue.

Central to the boutique's design narrative is a continuous metal ribbon, elegantly tracing the perimeter and cleverly morphing into display frames and shelving units. Against this refined backdrop, Missoni’s collaboration with renowned wallpaper maker Jannelli & Volpi adds depth and intrigue, accentuating the spatial rhythm. Strategically placed original columns anchor the space, highlighted by striking deep-red decorative elements, creating a striking visual connection between ceiling and floor.

Lit Studio’s Missoni Home Boutique offers a fresh and nuanced take on retail interior design—embracing historical authenticity while confidently exploring contemporary aesthetics.
