Bringing a refined sense of calm to the heart of Westbourne Grove in London, The Method is a new wellness destination that redefines how we engage with movement, nourishment, and community.
Designed by House of Grey, the space appears to draw on the aesthetic language of Mediterranean interiors—spaces shaped by light, natural materials, and a deep sense of stillness.
There’s a gentle warmth to the design, as if sunbaked surfaces from the southern coasts have found their way into West London. Organic forms flow through the interior, anchored by undulating walls finished in microcement and natural lime plaster. The material palette—eco-conscious, tactile, and matte—creates a textural experience that is both grounding and uplifting. High-gloss ceilings in matching earthy tones add contrast and light play, enriching the atmosphere with depth and softness.
The layout itself encourages fluidity. The café and studio are connected by design rather than divided, with custom in-built stainless-steel ledges providing small resting spots for books, laptops, or post-class reflection. Soaring 3.4-meter ceilings amplify this sense of openness—a quiet ‘spatial exhale’ as one moves through the space.
Café offerings, curated by Nathalie, focus on organic, health-driven fare, while the retail and community areas invite longer stays, spontaneous interactions, and intentional moments of pause. It’s a space that feels less like a traditional studio and more like an ecosystem for living well.
Founded in 2013 by Louisa Grey, House of Grey is known for designing spaces that celebrate natural materials, emotional wellbeing, and long-term adaptability. At The Method, this philosophy is rendered in physical form—balancing beauty, function, and a sensory calm that feels as if it’s carried on a warm breeze from further south.
