The single-family house designed by mA-style architects in Toyokawa, Japan sought to create a uniformly lit space by playing with the way the daylight flows in and the light is directed.

Light walls House is a family house located in a shady location between buildings without the possibility of placing windows allowing the natural light coming inside, mA-style has designed light entrances on the roof. The solution was perimeter skylights on the flat roof. This skylights iluminates the closing walls of this house and allows the light bounces giving an interior uniform illumination.

This illumination plays with the shapes and objects inside the house, as the day passed the light changes and the reflections moves falling to everything they find in their path. The flat roof is made by exposed wooden ceiling beams which have an important role inside being the structure of the roof and the first element where the first ray of light strikes on.

Light Walls House has bedrooms and storage spaces inside two-storey modules or boxes painted white scattered through the interior. The use of the wood provides warmth and sensitivity, with the play of lights and the color of the wood they get a balance typical of the japanese culture, typical of mA-style.
