LAND is a minimalist lounge chair created by Tokyo-base designer Naoto Fukasawa for Plank.

The lounge chair is made entirely of plastic (rotational molding) in the colors black, white, basalt grey, signal grey, traffic red. For indoor and outdoor use, the chair seeks to balance the relation between form and character, expression and fluidity. LAND is a lounge chair made with rotational plastic mould technology. It was born to serve as an outdoor seat, but its sober and elegant design makes it suitable for indoor uses too.

“Land” lends itself to diverse uses: “You can sit in the middle, but also on the side. Moreover, you can simply lean against the backrest – the armchair offers numerous options,” says the designer. The slight backwards slope of the seat supports the back, making for greater comfort.
