Japanese designer Mikiya Kobayashi, who is usually involved in product design, most often furniture and home accessories, has designed the concept of the Ily-Ai electric tricycle.

The ILY-Ai moped concept was developed by Tokyo-based Kobayashi in collaboration with automotive company Aisin Seiki and Karimoku, one of the main wood-furniture manufacturers in Japan. Designed for both indoor and outdoor public spaces, the scooter comprises a frame made of aluminium with a soft wooden casing.

The designer has created an elegant and natural aesthetic thanks to the organic timber shape, which beautifully integrates state-of-the-art electric mobility technology.
