Grandola is one of the small towns in Portugal which we visited as part of our Thisispaper Studio trip, and it turned out to be an ideal place to mark our collaboration with Horizn Studios.

Travel planning is more exciting and enjoyable when you have certain devices and tools available. If done correctly, the process can be convenient and enjoyable, ensuring that you are prepared and excited for your upcoming journey. Consequently, Horizn Studios products became a part of our trip to Portugal where we were gathering material for the upcoming online guide. During this process, the M5, H6, and H7 proved to be supportive companions.

Before arriving at any destination, we place a great deal of importance on research and planning. Having everything organized, we arrived at Grandola - a small town that is a location of the newly built Grândola Meeting Center by Aires Mateus. While searching for a suitable parking spot, accidentally, we came across another architectural creation - a newly constructed Library and Municipal Archive designed by Matos Gameiro Arquitectos + Pedro Domingos Arquitectos.

The white volume containing a spacious patio inside is abstract, cubist, without projecting eaves and with a minimum of visible details – represents a radical break with the neighbourhood. Nevertheless, the clean and vast spaces, with marble as a dominant material are simply adding to the concept a very local Portuguese flair.
