The Studio Stockholm was invited by Abstracta to collaborate on a mobile media screen. After two years of research and testing, they were able to present a sophisticated and thoughtfully designed 'Agile'.

Well-designed products are often a simple answer to a clearly defined demand. The office environment is probably the fastest and most dynamically changing type of space that designers currently encounter. Technology and ways of working are constantly  evolving, which can pose numerous challenges. The current reality of office work is much more flexible than 10 or 20 years ago. Therefore, it is both an imperative and a complex task to create products that respond to the changing components of work and are able to stand the test of time.

Abstracta Agile, a digital screen designed by Studio Stockholm, has the potential to permanently settle in any well-designed interior as it targets the preferences of users perfectly. It is a multi-tool that fills a void. Its inspiration comes from how today's tech companies work on projects.

“We’ve done a lot of interior design projects for software companies that work in teams in a really agile way. So, there’s a need, for example, to be able to huddle for a quick coordination meeting and then move on. This is where the idea behind the product came from,” explains designer Martin Eckerberg.

As a result of the minimalistic design of Abstracta Agile, flexibility played a significant role in defining the functional elements (LCD display, Bose VB1, acoustic panel, fold-out table, USB-C cable, and magnetic whiteboard). The screen’s two sides complement each other perfectly. The digital side is fitted with a generously proportioned screen for remote meetings, while its physical side is faced with a magnetic whiteboard of the highest quality.

Abstracta Agile contributes to a better soundscape by intercepting and absorbing ambient noise, so people working around it are not disturbed. Its materials are of the highest quality. The acoustic panel is covered in reclaimed wool fabric, and its elegant frame is made of low environmental impact aluminium. And Abstracta Agile’s simple, minimalist design makes it look as seamless and uncomplicated as it is to use. A perfect blend of technology and human-centered design.

Abstracta Agile will be unveiled to the public at this year’s ORGATEC trade show in Cologne. The show space runs from 25-29th October and is open to everyone - location hall 10.2 / stand K030.
